Your home's source for the unique and beautiful.
Too busy to decorate your whole house but still want to celebrate the fall season into Thanksgiving? All you need is a few decor pieces and you will have a beautiful centerpiece or grouping for your dining table, end tables, islands, entryways, or any place in your home that needs a little sprucing up.
We quickly and easily created four fall centerpieces using a base and a few other decor pieces. You can use these for inspiration for your own groupings.
Begin by looking around your home and gathering what you have available to use. You might find that you have to go shopping to fill the gaps, but isn’t that half the fun? We have included links for purchasing any of the items used in the designs. Pull the items together and add a quick garnish to complete the grouping.
Using the wood and metal votive holder as a base, we added two-toned burgundy eucalyptus garland, weaving it in and out of the votives. In the votives, we added two Luminara tea lights and then filled the remaining three with mini-pumpkins. This is the perfect centerpiece for a dining table, island, or entry table.
The votive holder is one of my favorite store pieces. It is so versatile, allowing for its use in every season and for every holiday just by switching out the greenery and what you put in the votives. For spring, we have used small plants and spring colored ornaments. At Christmas, we used small bottle brush trees and frosted greenery. Beautiful and so simple. (limited supply – available in-store only)
This grouping is so simple and so unique. Using the teak wood bowl as a base, we nestled the eucalyptus candle ring into one corner. We then placed the decorative enameled mango wood bowl in the ring, added the pumpkins to the bowl, and placed the burnt champagne glass lidded acorn dish on the side. Beautiful!
This design would look amazing on a coffee table, as a centerpiece for your dining or kitchen table, or on your island or kitchen peninsula. We added the pumpkins to enhance the fall feel, but you could also use this same design with just the decorative wood bowl. By itself, it is stunning.
This design definitely says fall. Start with the Bittersweet twig cone tree. Set the glass cylinder and wood pedestal candle holder next to it. We chose an orange Luminara 3×4.5” mottled pillar candle, but you could also use burgundy or even ivory. Place the burgundy resin Indian corn pumpkin in front to complete the grouping. So simple and quick to create.
We love this design for the front entryway, on your hearth, and even on the mantel.
This one was a little more in-depth, but still quick and easy to create.
We used a medium sized rectangular nesting wood tray as the base. To this we added the white porcelain accordion vase with brown and yellow Hydrangea bundle, placed the powdered orange textured glass candle with a pumpkin shaped wood lid in front on a wood block riser, and then added the hand-forged hammered metal taper to one end. On the other end we placed the matte antique gold Mercury glass pumpkin. To pull in some greenery, we chose the two-toned eucalyptus stem. I love the softness it brings to the grouping.
Notice that we placed items in odd numbers, three on one end and one on the opposite end, and did not try to fill the tray fully with larger decor items; that will sometimes seem cluttered and not aesthetically pleasing. Instead, fill the void with airy greenery that pulls the groupings together as one.
This design would look good with any style of home decor and in so many different rooms. Our favorite part is the unique look and scent of the pumpkin candle, fresh balsam cedar wood.
Four fall groupings that are so simple and so easy to pull together to bring the warmth and joy of fall in every room of your home. Each of the four designs above will not only add color and beauty to your everyday fall decorations, but can also add to your Halloween and Thanksgiving decor as well.
Create them and place them in an area needing sprucing up … then sit back and enjoy the compliments you are sure to receive from others. Well done!
