Your home's source for the unique and beautiful.
Have you ever felt as though winter’s cold and drab weather will last forever? Spring is a time when trees begin to bud, flowers bloom, and temperatures rise. The small glimpses of warmer weather we’ve been experiencing lately have been getting our hopes up, then the dreary days return yet again. And finally, hopefully, spring will arrive. Adding some spring decor to your home should help as well!
In my last blog post I gave ideas of how to use some specific spring decor items to welcome spring into your home. But I thought you might also want to learn how to decorate specific areas to dress them up for the season.
Through these simple and easy changes in your spring decor, you will be able to find inspiration and ideas to create areas of happiness that comes with spring throughout your home.
Adding a vase of flowers mixed with greenery to your home’s mantel brings the simple beauty of spring into your living room. We used a beautiful black metal vase and filled it with white triple bloom ranunculus, mixed green stems, white delphinium stems, and eucalyptus branches. With the mirror above the mantel, it helps to make the arrangement look fuller as well.
On the opposite end of the mantel a sweet, moss covered bunny hides beside a flowering orb in a cream colored planter. Simply fluff the flowers and place the orb into the planter. The arranging has already been done for you! Beautiful and so simple.
When surrounding yourself with family and friends around the table for Easter dinner, you might want to decorate for the season. These trendy spring flower dishes and pastel stoneware bowls can be decorative and functional. I can just imagine the sweet flavors of fresh fruit from these cute bowls…or maybe some ice cream.
Also, these adorable ginkgo placemats in three spring colors add a touch of whimsy to the table. Use them under the centerpiece or under each place setting. This simple spring decor item can also be used on an end table or cocktail table. The gold placemat even has a little shimmer to it.
Update your bedrooms or living rooms by switching out end table decor with mixed flowering orbs placed in gold colored vases. So easy!
Change out pillows on your couch, chairs or beds with ones that are soft neutral colors to bring in the spring decor as well. This pillow is a soft cream color with a hint of pastels in pink, coral, and green in the stitching.
Creative and inspirational signs and sayings will add a touch of light-hearted humor into your home. And who doesn’t love a good laugh!
Using images of plants in your wall decor around the house will bring the beauty and peace of nature indoors. These pieces are also easy to mix in with your existing decor. And they are a subtle spring decor item if you don’t want to add a lot of color.
Welcoming spring into your home doesn’t have to be hard. Using orbs of flowers that are already arranged, hanging pictures, setting the table, and using soft colors can all be easily added to your interior decor.
Use any or all of these ways to invite spring into your home. I’ve also created a quick little cheat sheet with a few more tips on how to do a little spring cleaning and decorating. Grab it here!
